Doctor Jon Kolbensvik has been a resident of Dallas, TX since 1960. Upon graduation from W.T. White High School, he attended North Texas State University where he earned his Bachelors degree in Biology/Chemistry. Dr "K." then attended Baylor College of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Dr. "K." lives in Flower Mound and has three children Jeremiah, Aleshia and Rachael Kolbensvik. Dr. "K." enjoys cycling, skiing and camping.

Dr. "K." is a member of the American Orthodontic Society and a published member of the International Association for Orthodontics.

Kolbensvik is the name of a small fishing village in Norway, not far from Bergen. The name probably means "whale bone bay".
